Audiologists also provide education and counseling services for people experiencing problems in these areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][mk_padding_divider size=&#8221;30&#8243;][vc_column_text disable_pattern=&#8221;false&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1663298294691{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;]An audiologist\u2019s scope of clinical practice includes the provision of assessment, treatment, (re)habilitation and consultation services for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Auditory Function<\/li>\n<li>Vestibular Function<\/li>\n<li>Tinnitus<\/li>\n<li>Auditory Processing Disorders<\/li>\n<li>Cognitive Screenings<\/li>\n<li>Cerumen Management<\/li>\n<li>Prescription and dispensing of hearing aids, cochlear and middle ear implants, as well as assistive listening and alerting devices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Ontario, only audiologists and physicians are authorized to prescribe hearing aids. Audiologists assess hearing, prescribe and fit hearing aids and other assistive listening devices and provide training for their use.
